With high inflation, are you planning another “Staycation”?

4 advantages of Staycation in 2023

Staycation is a new term the society is using to indicate spending holidays at own country, or even county. Exploring English country was popular before Covid. In fact, 55% of Brits chose to spend holidays here rather than abroad. However, with the increase risks of infections, uncertainty and placing restrictions, this trend rocketed since 2019.

Nowadays, fear from Covid restrictions have been replaced by inflation, rising costs of living and uncertainty which make us to reconsider our budgets for holidays. But what are the other reasons why staycations stayed a popular choice for Brits? I chose BIG 4 of the advantages why you should plan another Staycation.

Language barriers

Exploring different cultures are interesting but not everyone feels comfortable when it comes to communication at different language – it can be ordering at the restaurants, doing shopping or browsing the stalls. Some people love their comfort of being able to interact at the known terms of English language.

No need for currency conversion

With the increase of inflation we are more aware of the prices. Travelling abroad means that we need to change the currency and then be able to recognise the local pricing. This can lead to uncertainty what is gonna be the price-point at places abroad as the current financial climate is very unstable. Staying in the UK give us the comfort of knowing the price points and overall budget.

Explore homeland

Great Britain is such a beautiful country. We have countrysides, market towns, cities, beaches or mountains. Explore our cultural inheritance is truly amazing activity – we should educate ourself about the local history via exploring places on our doorstep, booking shorter stays in neighbourhood counties and by longer stays further away.

Easy to travel with children

Travelling can be an exhausting if you think you need to drive to the airport, experience delays, landing at different climate with time difference and ultimately driving to your accommodation at the final destination. This all can be stressful with small children. Getting around the UK means you do not spend much time in the transport, yet still can arrive to beach for ice-cream!
