Hathersage
Hathersage is famous for the outdoor heated pool, nice restaurants and beautiful walks.
Hathersage is a lively village in the Peak District, Derbyshire. This village dates back to 1066 when it was recorded that 8 villagers and 2 smallholders lived here. The first church, St Michaels and All Angels' is now a Grade I listed building and dates back to 14th century.
Back in the days, people in Hathersage produced pin and needles or brass buttons. The area of Hathersage was a source of millstones which were used in the wood industry, crushing lead ore or meal and barley crushing. Nowadays, you can spot millstones on your walk around the area.
Nowadays, Hathersage is a popular destination for tourists as it offers the beautiful scenery of the Hope valley and Derwent valley. There are numerous walks around the valleys, visit local stores and coffee shops or swim in the open-air heated swimming pool.
